Instructor: Carol Ivey

Intermediate level will complete an ‘imprimatura’ painting, using a traditional approach followed from the Renaissance to the mid 19th century. The painting will be developed in layers, beginning with a monochromatic underpainting on a toned canvas. The painting will be developed in stages with transparent glazes and scumbled opaque paint over the initial underpainting.

Advanced students may choose to pursue their own interests with guidance and critiques from the instructor.
