Playwright Bio
Quintin Humphrey is an African-American gay playwright born in Texas with a BBA from
Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas. He lived in Europe from 2008-2019, working in the Fashion industry for Escada, Munich, Germany, and Giorgio Armani, Milan, Italy. The Acting Studio-Chelsea Rep Lab produced his one-act play Full Stop in New York City in July 2021.
Before Humphrey received his MFA from Goddard College in July 2021, his play I Love You. I Don't Care. Discuss was a semi-finalist of the Princess Grace Playwriting Fellowship in July
2019. He is a member of the Dramatist Guild, Playwright's Center, Working Title Playwrights, and New Play Exchange. He taught Master Classes in playwriting 'Characters & Dialogue &
Rewrites' and 'Bends, Curves, Twist, and Unexpected, Reveals' at Working Title Playwrights. He was also Editor-in-Chief of The Pitkin Review Fall Edition 2021, the student-run MFA
Journal of Goddard College. Humphrey's fashion reviews of Milan's Fashion Week for Men
were published in The Fashion Plate Magazine, a digital magazine focusing on sustainability in the fashion industry, in January 2019. He is currently working on expanding his play Full Stop into a full length play.
